Has been teaching Government and Economics at Nordonia High School since 1998. Holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Akron and a Masters in Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Enjoys working in the garden, and playing with his wife and 4 kids.

Andreas Johansson | andreas.johansson@nordoniaschools.org
Earned his B.A. from Kent State University in International Relations as well as his Masters of Arts in Teaching degree. Teaches 10th grade U.S. History at Nordonia High School, as well as Valley Voyages. Used to teach a multi-cultural class at Fairless Middle School. Has a passion for the outdoors, placed-based education, hands-on approaches, and “real” life lessons and simulations. Speaks fluent Swedish, and is an Army veteran. Hobbies include white-water rafting, building things with his hands, and doing dishes.

Nate Loman | nate.loman@nordoniaschools.org
Currently teaches U.S. History since the Civil War for the 2010-2011 school year. He holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Kent State University, a B.S. in Education from Kent, and a B.A. in Political Science and History from The University of Akron. While at Nordonia has served on various committees including as Chairman of the District’s Health and Wellness Committee; creator and purveyor of the P.A.S.S. program, a peer-mentoring program for students transitioning to Nordonia High School; and he also serves on the high school Continuous Improvement Team. In his free time Mr. Loman enjoys a variety of endurance sports, including running, cycling, and triathlon.

Diane Dillon | diane.dillon@nordoniaschools.org
Formally a youth services librarian and branch manager in the Akron Summit County Public Library system, has been the Nordonia High School librarian for the past 25 years. She holds a Bachelors in Biology Education from Kent State University and a Masters in Library & Information Science from Case Western Reserve University. She speaks fluent Italian and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Hobbies include bicycling, rock climbing, jewelry making and photography.

Lisa teaches in the Language Arts Department at Nordonia High School, and is involved with Valley Voyages through out poetic unit.
